Eligibility Conditions for the Applicant and Employer for the Skilled Worker Category

For Applicants:

 

  • Must have a valid job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible occupation.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in the same or related field.
  • Meet the language proficiency requirements (CLB 4-7 depending on the occupation).
  • Have sufficient settlement funds to support themselves and dependents.

For Employers:

 

  • Must be registered and operating in Alberta.
  • Offer a full-time, permanent job in an eligible occupation.

Eligibility Conditions for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program:

  • Must have farm management experience and proof of farm ownership or operation.

  • Invest a minimum of $500,000 CAD in an Alberta agricultural business.
